Living in Costa Rica
As many know, Costa Rica is a world reknowned tourist destination due in part to its gorgeous terrain, warm local culture, and easy accessibility. Whether to live and work, or retire, the amount of foreign citizens that relocate to Costa Rica is increasing every day. More and more people are recognizing the incredible beauty that Costa Rica has to offer, not to mention the higher quality of life for almost a fraction of what it costs to live in North America and Europe.
With minimal property taxes, no capital gains taxes, as well as the ability to obtain residency status, Costa Rica is an ideal place to live and purchase property. A highly educated society, Costa Rica boasts a literacy rate of 95%. The country also has a reputable health care system with many affordable private clinics which most foreigners enjoy. Many people come to Costa Rica for the inexpensive yet quality medical and dental services that exist here. Low cost of labor is another plus when thinking about relocating to Costa Rica. Whether it be for domestic or professional services, the cost of having a live-in caretaker or a professional employee for your new business remains relatively low.
The goal of living in Costa Rica is one many have set for themselves and reaped great benefits, however it can also be challenging at times. We encourage you to speak with a Coldwell Banker associate to ask any questions you might have about relocating to our paradise.
